How Old Is Tracey Bregman?

Tracey Bregman was born on May 29, 1963.

As of March 05, 2021, she is 57 years old.

Bregman was born in Munich, Germany, to Canadian actress Suzanne Lloyd and American composer and record producer Buddy Bregman.

Tracey E. Bregman followed in her parents’ footsteps, breaking into the world of soap operas in 1978 as troubled teenager Donna Temple Craig on Days of Our Lives.

After a successful three-year run that netted her a couple of awards, Bregman moved on to the silver screen, landing roles in Happy Birthday to Me (1981) and The Concrete Jungle (1982).

Then, in January of 1983, Bregman found her way back to the suds, starring as Lauren Fenmore on The Young and the Restless. For the next 37 years (and counting), Bregman turned Lauren into one of the most recognizable characters in soap history, both on Y & R and on sister show, The Bold and the Beautiful.

To date, through December 2020, Bregman has been nominated for 13 awards for her daytime drama acting, taking home four hunks of hardware, including the following:

  • Soapy Award for Most Exciting New Actress (1979)
  • Soapy Award for Most Exciting New Actress (1979)
  • Young Artist Award for Best Juvenile Actress in A Daytime Series (1979)
  • Young Artist Award for Best Young Actress in a Daytime Soap (1983)
  • Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Ingenue in a Drama Series (1985)

Although Bregman thought “Lauren” would be short-lived when she dipped her toe into the Y & R waters in 1983, the character gained traction over a six-month trial, and CBS inked the young actress to a long-term deal.

The relationship continues unabated and, at a relatively young age by soap opera standards, Bregman would seem to have plenty of gas left in the acting tank.

That means that Lauren can continue to add to her collection of heartaches, heartbreaks, and heartthrobs, just like any great soap character is expected to do.

Here’s to the next 40 years.
