He made his television debut on an episode of Room 222, then went on to appear on several more series throughout the 1970s. Geary’s big break and most enduring role came in 1978, when he was cast in a temporary story arc as Luke Spencer on General Hospital.
Not only was his character a hit, but his romance with Laura Webber (played by Genie Francis) lit the soap opera world on fire and sparked a decades-long love affair with audiences worldwide.
