Jennifer Aniston was born on February 11, 1969.
As of April 14, 2021, she is 52 years old.
Aniston was born in Sherman Oaks, California, a posh neighborhood of Los Angeles, to actors John Aniston and Nancy Dow. The late Telly Savalas, a fellow Greek-heritage actor, was one of her father’s best friends, and Jennifer’s godfather.
Although such a background might have made acting seem like a foregone conclusion for young Aniston, her parents tried to shield her from the Hollywood life and from TV in general. Eventually, though, she caught the stage bug of her own accord, performing in several plays throughout her high school career in New York City.
After a sting in a couple of Off-Broadway productions, Aniston landed some modeling gigs and a couple of early 1990s television series (Molloy and Ferris Bueller).
She was also the protagonist in the 1993 horror film, Leprechaun.
Of course, to millions of fans, Jennifer Aniston will always be Rachel Green, the youngest of the six-member ensemble that made up Friends, an NBC staple on Thursday nights from 1994 through 2004.
Rachel was the glam girl among the three women on the show (Monica and Phoebe being the others), and popular fashion seemed to follow the character’s every move. For years, “The Rachel” was arguably the most popular haircut in the world.
After Friends ended, Aniston ramped up her film career again, appearing in more than two dozen movies through 2019.
She has also continued to act on the small screen, through guest appearances and recurring role. Her current gig is as Alex Levy, the main character on The Morning Show.
Truly, though, is there anyone that can look at Jennifer Aniston, in any setting, and not see young Rachel Green staring back at them??
Well, OK, maybe if you’re Brad Pitt …
