Arnold Schwarzenegger was born on July 30, 1947.
As of September 13, 2024, he is 77 years old.
Arnold, of course, was born in Austria and came to the United States in the 1960s to pursue a career as a powerlifter and bodybuilder, eventually becoming perhaps the greatest physique competitor of all-time.
Schwarzenegger always intended to do more than just pump iron, though, and soon embarked on a successful film career that saw him become one of Hollywood’s top box office draws on the strength of such iconic films as Predator, Commando, Terminator, Total Recall, True Lies, and others.
Eventually, Arnold entered politics and won the gubernatorial election in California in 2003. He served as governor until January of 2011.
